Hiya guys,
I put a yammie f115 on last Christmas and just can't believe how little fuel it uses. Last Saturday, planed most of the way out to the shelf, trolled for 4 hours, planed back in from about 6nm out - 29 litres! ;D ;D ;D
Next morning, however, wnt to start it, no go, serious flooding problem. Reliably informed by the guru that it's a stuck needle in the vapour separator tank :P :-/

Win a few, lose a few.

Interested to hear how this compares to other four strokes.
Cheers,
Yockman

How many k's/nm was the total trip. I'm in the market for updating my boat, and am really intrested.

It's about 11nm to the shelf, so 11 back and we trolled around out that way for about 2.5 - 3 hrs @ 6.5 knots, so...... roughly 40nm
I'd be dubious reading these figures from somewhere else, but this time, I filled the boat on the way to the ramp and refilled it on the way home.

A coupla weeks ago, we did a similar trip, then mucked around all week setting the pot, catching salmon etc, using it every day and it 69 litres when I refilled.

Now, if I can only get it to start next w'end, might have a chance at some of the huge yft lurking down here at the moment :o :o :o

G'day Yockman
I had a 115hp Fuel injected 4 stroke yamy on a 5.6mtr quintrex. The fuel ecconomy was brilliant, Average about 3ks to the litre. When I was working out fuel required for a big trip, I'd plan on 2.5ks to the litre just incase I had to travel up or downstream against a 7mtr Territory tide. Had great run out of this engine clocking up about 1600hrs on it in two years, it never let us down or caused us any problems. Now I have a 200hp yamy 4 banger and am just as happy with it.

Cheers Ron
