These guys are now six days old and as good as the day I bought them. I have been keeping them in my fishing sink on my pontoon and doing what the guys at Budds Bait & Tackle advise i.e. giving them the smallest amount of salt water twice a day. I drain off the old and give them one miserable cup of fresh stuff morning and night. With a piece of marine ply to keep off the sun and regularly picking out any deaduns, I am wondering just how long I can keep them fresh for? The secret I reckon is getting them from the shop as soon as they arrive from the digger. After a few days even the bought ones have some sick or old "pieces" of worm that rapidly sends the rest off. Too much salt water is not good as it goes rancid real fast and kills the entire gang off in a matter of hours. Granted, having salt water under the pontoon is a huge help but I think a big plastic drum of the stuff would be just as good.
