Just wondering if anyone has had experience in both inflatable boats as well as tinnies. I am currently considering purchasing a 4.3m quicksilver heavy duty hypalon inflatable for the purpose of fishing, probably mainly trolling in such places as palm beach reef, double island point, caloundra, moreton bay. I have never been in an inflatable (other then a small tender) and need some advice on how they would compare to a tinnie of about the same size, in areas such as type of conditions they can safely handle, comfort, durability and stability etc. I will be definitely taking it for a boat test before purchasing but any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

yep inflatable tinnie ;D about to float off fraser all wk in one ;D someone can post pics if I made no sense. you would get holes in a hypalon inflatable, chasing mackerel with gaffs its just going to happen. look at what the lifesavers use, they dont rescue mackerel though..

Inflatable tinnie? I'm assuming this is the one pictured in "mackmauler joins team yamaha" .......looks interesting.
Who manufactures them and where can I go to look at their range?
What size is the boat that's in the photos and how far offshore do you venture in it.
I probably would prefer a tinnie but thought the inflatable might be a bit safer crossing bars etc. ......Inflatable tinnie might have the best of both worlds?
Thanks for your comments.
