Good choice! a proven motor with the addition of efi only makes it better. Get one and i bet you'll be bragging about how great it is!...foxy

I have a 115hp on a 5.6 Bar Crusher and can vouch for its performance. I did a trip with three blokes with gear from Horizon shores out to the 36's through the seaway and back and only use 60L for the trip of about 100Km according to gps.

The 4stroke might be a good motor but the changeover cost would surely buy a lot of fuel. The main reason I would consider even doing it would be for the extra range of the 4 st

Hey mate,

You may wanna check but if i remember seeing correctly in the 05 yammy brochure the 100 4stk is still the CARBY version .. all the other motors in the 4stk lineup are now efi's except the 100 hp model. Stuff if i know why.

I run a yamaha carby 100 4stk ... stuff if i know the fuel consumption exactly but on a 5.2m stessl with 4 ppl plus gear i use about 60l of fuel for a days fishing in the bay. That is from the brissie bar out to the cape and back plus chasing fish for a good 5-6 hours.

Hope that helps.
P.s. Cant be happier with the motor.
