Wanted to know views on these type of boats vs. a plate alloy monohull of similar length. I am thinking of setting up a boat around 16 foot for offshore and bay work.

I know it's not the same boat but we went fishing in a mate's Marlin Broadbill (I think it was 7.2m) and it felt like the most uncomfortable and unsafest boat. Even with reasonable small swells it dug in and listed to one side. Wasn't impressed.

Perhaps he didnt have the motors trimmed very well ?
never had a problem in ours not the most comfortable in a bit of rough stuff, but never felt unsafe in it.
