help....

has anyone got any info on the fuel burn of a 175hp merc.
1995 ..2.5 litre.... pushing a signature 650..????

what would be a good figure to expect from this motor ...
???????????

Guys,

Some people have far too much spare time.

Id say the 175 would use about 20-25l/h. I think the combo would be underpowered and cause the engine to stress a bit.

I had a 140 Merc (same block still detuned) on a 18 Hydrofield and chewed an average of 20l/h.

Is that for Jamie's Boat?

If not what do they want for it?

no ,,the motor is on another 650 haines.....

the fellow suggested 30ltper hour

too much .. i guess...specially where i want to go..???spot "x"

probably 60 per hour at 30-35 kts.

2002 ..130 yamaha 2 stroke 50hours on it :o ;D
sits for a month start engine no tell tale of water..??
start engine in a drum or at the ramp water comes from tell tale..??
is this because muffs are not to be used on this model
there is a place to connect a hose to..???????????????

need advice quickly... reaction time critical

i`ve got a 2003 40hp yammie and the only way i can flush it out is using a drum. When i try with muffs the only way i can get anything for the tell tail is if i clamp the muffs on really tight and even then the water only dribbles out. I don`t think its that uncommon with yammies as i know of 2 other guys that can`t use muffs with theirs either.
