Stamp Duty?

Hi Guys,
# # # # # Please forgive me for asking a stupid question but it has been a long time since I have bought a secondhand boat. So to the question, Do you have to pay stamp duty on the purchase of a secondhand boat as you do with a secondhand car? And if so what % is it?

hi scott- my understanding is that the stamp duty elment is applicable only to the trailer- I think its about $2 per $100 of declared value- there is a web site -do a search - qld transport dept gov or similar
