On May the 19th the "Australian Boat of the Year Awards" by A.M.I.F.were held. Does anyone know the results of who won what?

I have searched far and wide and best I can find is the result in fishnet for a 60 ft boat.

The A.M.I.F. website has not been updated and emails to them has not been answered. ???

Can anyone help??

Tried that. All it lists is 2004 results and the "contenders" for 2005. It doesn't give the actual title holders.
I have searched to migh hearts content but to no avail :'(

Somethings WRONG!!!!
Whittley DO NOT make a Sea Legend 700. oops!
Sea Legend `is Whittley's fishing boat series NOT cruisers and 700 is NOT one of them! A major stuff up!!!!

They do make a CruiseMaster 700 :-)

You are correct..the Sea Legend ia a 730 and is marketed as a fishing boat not a cruiser. But..once again..who really cares who wins..it is only based on a couple of peoples opinions...what suits some does not suit others and with the variety of different conditions in Aus I doubt there is any boat that suits all areas...buying is a matter of preference for the area and what you want your boat to do.

Got to admit it is pretty funny. I think a 2 foot chop is now a standard measure of hull capability in ausfishland.

And as for boat of the year,,,,,,, I still don't know what it was.

Cheech..it has to be a 2 foot North Qld chop..it is different to everywhere else or weren't you paying attention?

Hi Troy
I think if you want rough water you may need to fish my area.
Bass Strait
The shelf either side with the Strait being shallow
Known to be one of the roughest bits of water in the world, now we are talking REAL 2 foot chop
cheers

Sorry boys. if you want a real mans 2ft chop, try the seaway on a beautiful sunny day 8), ebbing tide, that is the true testing ground.
