Would like to get some feed back from anyone who ownes a Cruise Craft 685. Had a look at one fitted with 2x115 Mercury 4/strokes today and am very interested. Have never owned one of these boats but I do know that they are very well finished. Thanks for any feed back.

G'day BJ, I don't have that boat, but I have the Cruise Craft 575 and I have to tell you, it is fantastic. It has the 130 Yammie 2-stroke and this seems to be a well balanced, 32 knot combination that returns reasonable economy and extra sea-worthy.

The boat that you are considering seems to me to be a bit over-powered - what do you think? Is it 2 x 115 hp?

Hi Bj,

We have a 685 fitted with twin 115 Johno/Suzuki 2 bangers what a great boat love her to bits, smooth ride and very stable, we had a 625 before so it made our upgrade choice very easy if you need any info let me know.

Send Fletch a PM, he owns one.
I've fished out of it several times & it's a big stable boat.

I have a Cruise Craft Explorer 600 & it also is a fantastuics boat.

You'll be more than happy with it [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

bj i have been to the reef in the 685 and on the way home the weather turned bad but the boat handled the conditions better than i expected.
i would not hesitate to buy one if i had that folding stuff.

Don't forget about a cat. If you are going to have 2 motors you might as well have 2 hulls. And the money spent would be similar. Cats have heaps of benefits over monos for offshore fishing. Will never have a mono again, and most owners of good cats would agree. Tony.
