How deep down do you fit the speed paddle wheel ,when installing a Garmin 240 sounder. The same depthas the transducer?

Sorry David,
What I was on about was dont let any more than half of the wheel stick down below the bottom of the boat, in some cases the paddle can be just below level with bottom because the water will rise high enough to meet it at the speeds we travel.
Or did you mean- how far toward the bottom centre of the transom should it mount? cheers nq
nq,
Thanks for that.
Yes it was depth in the water. I am limited with position due to my pods.
1/2 a wheel is the go, on the plane?

Dave,
Your wheel should have the axis slightly above the bottom of your hull. You need water pressure on one side only to make it spin properly. Doesn't matter if you are on the plane or just trolling.
Calibrate your wheel with a GPS as they are famously inaccurate. :o :o :o :o
