Just thought I'd post some pics of one of our new boats for you guys to have a look at.
It's the most horsepower we've fitted to a tiller steer boat. Naturally we where hoping it wouldn't be too much of a handful :o
We fitted a hydraulic assist steering damper to the engine and it worked really well.
Haven't given it a real hard run yet but it's pretty quick. The owner love's it.
It's decked out to mainly fish up around Hinchinbrook.
Iv'e posted this for your interest...not trying to flog off boats ;)

Cheers Col

The chains on the boarding steps hold live bait drums so you can keep livies overnight and there is a live bait tank either side in the boat
there is a 150 ltr live well in the casting deck

Awesome boat.

One question, why the chains at the rear?

Darren,
The chains are to hold 25 ltr drums on the steps
They have holes in them so you can leave livies in the drink over night and then throw them back in the live bait tank.
That's the owners theory anyway.
Probably not a bad idea with the time it takes sometimes chasing livies.

Thanks guys, went for another spin and she's quick, but not out of control. I think you would only strap it out in nice flat conditions. The owner's a pretty solid lad so he'll be right
Andrew.. the damper works pretty well..you still know you got a big tiller in your hand but with the damper there's no prop torque. It's really not as lively as you think it might be. We do quite a few 70,s and 75 tillers and it's not a huge deal different to use.
Foxy... Thought you might have heard what we are up too ;) Have to supply seat belts and crash hats you reckon. I'd say he'd be getting out the front a bit as well as chasing Barra.
Gibbo, there's a 150 &175 coming out soon ;D how game are you? No just joking.
Chemmy ...you couldn't.

Cheers Col

After spending my entire life at the transom and now aspiring to move forward into my twilight years I wanna know why people go to so much effort for a tiller. Is it to improve the ride or to maximise fishing room? Some one set me straight.

Col,

'Wild Thing" is it ever !!!

Can you pass on it's stats, length, width, max HP ;D, Current cruise speed, approx cost..etc
How well would you think it could handle normal offshore conditions ??

Are there more pics on your web site ?

Cheers
Craigie.
