Hello Everybody,
I purchased a book from the Logan City Council Library at Marsen Park on Friday called, "Logan River Tinnie Trail". It is fantastic and talks about the history along the river from the mouth to Maclean. I would recommend it for those who travel along the Logan River or anyone with an interest in the history of the district. It talks about floods, ferrys, bridges that were built, distroyed and rebuilt. Even a tornado that hit the district in the 1930's.
It discuses how North and South Stradbroke was once one island and became two after a ship wreck. This had a huge environmental effect on the bay and river mouth.
You can purchase the book from any Logan City Library or from the following Logan City Council Web site.

Cheers to you all,
