I am moving to the GC at the end of the year and am going to buy a boat approx 20-30 k to spend. Want something for cruising and something that will also handle outside well any ideas or advice would be appreciated.

I have a cruise craft, I am very happy with it.
For that money you could get an excellent 2nd hand model 5 years old or so in an explorer 500 model, which you could use for skiing, cruising the bay with family or mates and offshore fishing.
You may even be able to get a slighlty older 525 model which is just that little bit bigger for those rougher days.
Cheers Ryan..

another one to keep in mind would be a southwind in either the 17foot or 20foot modles with one like mine a sf17 going for around 20k

If I ever get my rig I'll tell you how it goes ;D. Custom 17' center console with all the fittings, eskies, rod holders, bait tanks, trailer etc, etc. And for the price, you could still have $15000 for a new donk. PM me if interested. ;)

Hey,
Also have a look at
The Signature Range - 492F, 520C, 540F, 560C ect ect
Haines Hunter - 520SF, 560SF, 580SF
Seafarer - Viking 5.5, Victory 5.9
Southwind - SF17, SR17, SF20, SR20
Heaps to choose from, but the above boats are excellent, and you will not be disappointed.
Regards
Darren
