as I have just got my new boat is there any way to tell what date it was built on

Post a pic someone might be able to get close, if our transport departments were worth two bob we would all be able to pay a nominal fee and get a print out of a registerable vehicles history. Would save many consumer problms, one day an insurance company might request it and it will happen ;). cheers fnq

Check on the right side looking at the stern just near the gunnel most boats have a date the last 4 digets denote month then the year, hope this helps bazz

Hi Falcon,
I bought the same package from the same dealer in 2002.There are 2 plates on the boat one is on the motor side of the rear seat and the hull id # is under the lip off the bow above where your anchor sits.
