I am wondering if there is some free mapping software that enables you to see where a particular Lat / Long is located. Kind of like having your plotter and moving the cursor to a given lat / lon then saying "... ah, so that's where it is". Moreton Bay in particular would be good.

Anyone seen such a program?

Hi Wyoming,

If you grabbed Oziexplorer and a decent map of moreton bay, once you calibrate it you'd be able to do that fairly easily.

Another option could be Google Earth - not sure what your resolution is like down in that area but you can enter lats/longs and it takes you to the spot.

Yeah Google Earth is pretty good for it. Just depends on how much detail you want. It's pretty good for most things!

UBD on Cd is an option won't show you the contours but if you have the Lat&long just move the curser to that location about and it is Australia wide
I think about $50, it did for me to start with. Goes about 30-40k off shore.
Printouts as well i think they call it " 5 Cities UBD CD " By Universal Press

Repco can get it for you "Repco PN.66810"
