Kunnara,
Depends on what model you are talking about...
I used to own an early "Freedom 1750" which I believe was a Yalta
hull with a Freedom top.. It was great boat..performed well both offshore & in the bay & was nice & roomy ..A good friend owns an "Odessa" & he loves it..
From what I have heard over the years the Yalta's are a highly regarded boat...Cheers

G'day Kunnara, I have a 615 Odessa, Great boat. The deep V design of the Yalta gives it great rough water handling and the new addition of trim tabs has corrected the typical listing (leaning into the wind) that is very common in all deep V hulls. So if you are going to get one I would make sure you invest the few extra dollars in a set of trim tabs. For the money the Yalta is a good basic fishing package that can be customised to suit your own needs. I have fitted a few extras to mine to suit my needs. All in all a good honest boat for the money.

Hi Kunnara, I have a 189 Daycabin Yalta 1986 model with a new 130 hp Yammie . I have found its a great boat for crossing bars and running through rough weather, beening a deep Vee cut through the slop easy .At rest it does rock around a bit beening a deep Vee but most deep Vees do. Its good high sides are great for a young family. When I was looking for a boat I only come across 3 Yaltas so they are a little hard to come by. I will try and post a pic of mine .
