Last question in the trilogy :-)

The trailer used to use bolts for roller pins but they had a smaller diameter than the real things and the rollers wouldn't roll as well as they should have. The end result was grooves being cut into them.

As part of the trailer clean up I have installed new rollers and new roller pins.

The question I have is what do you use to stop your pins coming out?

Below is a photo of one of my attempts.

The only thing is.. I can see these things slicing my leg like butter in the very near future.

Let me know what you use

Regards

Alex

pains not good. I have stainless bolts in mine with nyloc (self locking) nuts. You could always run a board up each side of the rollers for a walkway.

turn the last 5mm of the end back on itself and keep rolling the split pin around the axle. no sharp edges
