Looking at some Bennett Trim tabs for a CC 575 Explorer. Bennett website info seems to recommend 18"x9" (1" per foot of boat length). Seem to have 2 sizes on there website that will suit a 19ft boat; 12"x9" and the 18"x9". Has anyone fitted these to similar size boat & any comment on which size would be best??

Thanks in advance.........

I have the 18" x 9" tabs on my Yalta. I don't know what boat your fitting them on, but because of the lack of height I had to work with for the actuators the 18' x 9" work out a better option for me. The larger size got the outer edges of the tabs closer to the sides of the boat and gives better lateral control. Have a look at this for further info. http://www.ausfish.com.au/cgi-ausfish/yabb2/YaBB.cgi?num=1123336608

thanks Ron......I am looking to fit to a 575 Cruisecraft Explorer. How have you found hull performance post tab installation? Would you say there has been a big difference? My CC tends to lean into the wind which means every now and then you can come down fairly hard on the side of the hull rather than on the keel, so I am hoping that the tabs will help give a better ride in rough/windy conditions by allowing the boat to ride on an even keel and let the V of the keel do the work.
