It might just be my imagination, but every time I see a quintrex on the road or water it has a mercury on the back. Can't remember the last time I saw an evinrude or johnson, or even yamaha on a quintrex.

Got a merc on our 455 coastrunner but have seen plenty with yammys on. but yeah very rare to see them with johnos, evinrude etc.Most of the pre packaged boats from the factory before june came out with johnsons i think (according to the brochure pre june), the new brochure has all the new packages with mercs/mariners.

For me, it's everytime I see a Quintrex I see Yamaha.

Great Combination, nothing sexier on a Quintrex than a Yamaha, But hey that's just my opinion, so don't arc up fella's. :D :) ;)

Yeah you do see a few Merc's on them but really it just depends what part of the world you live it.

have a merc on mine but down here i hardly see any other with the mercs on them but thats mainly because the dealer form them is a yamaha dealer

think it will depend more on the area and what the dealer deals with

agree with megafish however mine wasn't as bad as his i was only missing a couple of inches of weald

Does it really matter what boat or outboard you have, so long as your out enjoying the water and hopefully catching a few fish.

The main Quintrex Dealers in/near Brisbane are Sundown and Springwood Marine, with Springwood until recently anyway, you really only had the choice of a Merc. And Sundown put Yammies on just about everything. I think it is more to do with what outboard Supplier your Quintrx dealer is in bed with.

Quintrex dealer in Tsv only sells evinrude, honda and johnson. I opted for a yammy. Happy with that at present.

Yeh Seahunt, Sounds like I'm seeing more mercs on quinnies cause I live just near springwood marine. I've never taken much notice of what dealers push what donks as I havn't yet been in a position to be in the new boat market.

Next boat might be a poly as well, not sure if there for little blokes or big blokes .I hope the salesman will let me buy one. Hope I"m tall enought

I bought my boat from Springwood Marine. I told them I didn't want a mercury. To get the deal they needed to have a Yamaha on board. So they got around this and they got the deal. :D

It's really up to you, what Motor you want, even though the dealer is alligned with a particular motor supplier.

I've had a few Quintrex, 1st one had a 75 Suzuki 2 stroke, 2nd had a 70hp Yammie

The quintrex I have right now is just filling the gap at the side of the house waiting for my new Poly though ;) :D

Yeah Megafish tell it like it was, for Quintrex to push that boat out of the factory everyone from the TA to the line supervisor to the foreman was in on it right from the get go!

The hands on workers had to throw away their jigs and work freehand on that deformed boat.

Quintrex out of shame alone should have replaced it, then scrapped it!

Disgusting what they did, I have told the story to a few acquaintances so far and I am sure the story dropped quintrex lower on their prospective boat list and rightly so.
