Hi all,
Just curious to see if anyone has any idea on the economy on a 98 Model EFI Merc 150hp, the motor is serviced and looked after, the boat is an allison angler 195, I do know that there are variables involved but a rough idea would be appreciated. The tank is about 200 litres also.

I'm going to stick my neck out here, because it depends on so many variables.

Ay your best, most fuel efficient, my guess is that you would get around 0.8 - 0.9 km/litre

dunno about km/litre but expect around 30-40 litres per hour at cruise 3500-4000 rpm. That's just a rough guess and could be more or less depending on the whole setup.

Yep Bashir's numbers work out to be 0.9 - 1.2 km/litre at 20 knots. I recon that would be the best that you could hope for.

Thanks guys for the replys, was going to go for a big run and then fill it up at the end to get a rough idea anyway...Things we have to do eh? About 1km litre was what the owner said but to be honest I thought it was optimistic but hey who knows. Thanks again.

I've got the Optimax 135 on a 575 outsider and get accurately 1 litre per nautical mile @26 odd knotts. Less economy for more speed up to about 1.5 litres for 1 nautical mile flat out and about 0.8 of litre around the 16 knott speed still Planing.
I would think the boat should be about the same but the EFI economy just a little worse (maybe 20% or more)

Thanks guys and might see you out on the water eh? Hows that sponsorship going Brook? Guaranteed to "kwell" the appetite eh? ;D BlackJack with a 225 on the back she'd be a bullet mate. Crikey fishman thats good economy with todays prices i'd have to take quite a few mates along for that one. Thnaks again guys.
