Sneakey little critter Seabug! At least now you will never forget where found on a 5hp Mercury. ;) :)

This is common on most brands of smaller OB's. Word of advice, keep the bolt/thread lubricated and after re-installing the L/U use a thread protector paste. This bolt will snap off real easliy when corroded.

Scrape out corrosion and blow out dust with compressed air

[seabug]

Blow air through water pipe inside leg

[seabug]

Blow air through squirt/telltale hole

[seabug]

apply high temp. gasket sealer

[seabug]

Replace head cover ,fuel tank and motor cover

[seabug]

And test to see if everything works.
