I am looking at buying a second hand 6.25m fibreglass boat with twin Yamaha 90s (3 Cylinder oil injected/carbis). The boat, motors and fuel approx 1800-1900kg in the water. I am finding it difficult to get any definitive information on the fuel consumption for this setup.

Grateful for any feedback on the likely fuel consumption at cruise speed, say 22 - 25 knots. What revs would the motors be doing at this speed?

Thanks for your help.

mate i used to have a 6.1 metre star abalone ally boat with twin yammy 90's. sitting on those speeds i would get about 65 to 70 nautical miles on around 100 litres. never worried us cause we were working and didn't pay for fuel. to get good speed for that rig i reckon you will have to rev it up a bit so she may be a chewer. reliable motors though and having two is good for offshore work so weigh it and good luck.
