Howdy all!
Well what can I say - MyPolycraft is on its way - Pick up from Martine Marine tommorow! Will have some pics and info for people interested as the weekend progresses. Thanks for all the help in regards to what boat what motor and or what dealer questions that were my delemma a few months ago. At this stage I believe she will be the first 5.3 Poly Centre with an owner in Brisbane (not even sure if a Brissy shop has one yet).
Anyhoo big smiles here - am soo excited thanks to all for there support: Pegasus, TonyM, Madman, Kingtin, Fromosa1 etc etc :):)

Wahoo and Hutchies here we come: Just a few days of fitting out and running in:)

The rig is as follows:
Poly 5.3 Centre Console
RM Trailer
Suzuki 115hp 4 Stroke
Eagle Fish Elite sounder plotter
GME VHF and am/fm radio
Targa top
with lots of new accessories including a 200l eva cool esky for a seat!

:D :D :D

Woohoo! Great news Norm. :)

I went out on Thursday to check how the motor went up a few holes higher on mine, was wild out there with strong northerlies so didn't get to test it thoroughly although I think it needs to come down one notch (which is where Adam has put yours). Made a huge difference to performance though, at the original height I was getting just over 30 knots flat out, got about the same speed at only 4000 rpm so could be interesting to see new top speed once I get to take a run in conditions that are sane.

I spoke to the only other bloke who was out there on thursday and he took a wave over the bow in his 6m tri-hull. I surfed down a few waves and she behaved very well, not even a hint of broaching, although sure had to concentrate on the downhill run home when the tide turned against the wind and the waves stood up with white water everywhere :-/ Am glad I went the 115 as it's nice to have the extra grunt when conditions get ugly ;)

The fact that I took the boat out in these conditions (again) gives a hint to my confidence in it, normally I won't head out if it's blowing more than 15-20, and definately never used to go out in a northerly greater than 10-15

My confidence in this boat is growing with each trip, you're going to love it mate!

Just got back from Martin Marine Norm - Your boat is looking good!

Can't wait to hear back after you've taken her out for a run.

She is home safe and sound in the driveway - had a momment to fit the bait board but alas its 6pm and I am now at work (Army) for an official work dinner. The pics are in the camera and she is looking very ready for a maiden dip in the Pine River under run in process.
Me I am about to have a few quiet ones to celebrate. Richard and Therese from Martin Marine were excellent and have excelled in every way ...... very happy to have committed to a 300km each way drive to pick her up.
Pics will be up in the morning and fit out begins in ernest!
Hopefully a slow trawl looking or macks of Bribie on Monday
I have a smile from ear to ear - Tony thanks again!
Time to attend the mess!
Cheers :D

Mr Wong, Tony M

Did either of you guys consider an e-tec for the Poly?

Just had a mechanic here atmy place telling me about all the positives of the e-tec. #I'm not especially mechanically minded, but he was pretty convincing. #I'll try to chase it up.

Tony

Whats the inspection plate for in the anchor well ??

Is that how they installed the anchor bollard or is it storage ?

Looks a good fishing set up.

Cheers

You hit the nail on the head Greg, it's there for installing the bollard.
