I ran a quick search without luck so just thought I'd ask if anyone knows which colour wires go where in a normal (I think 6-pin - the round one) plug. My wires got ripped out of the plug and I need to re-connect.

If unsure just hook a battery to them one by one and see what lights up.

it's whatever a 2/3 year old hilux has as standard and a 4/5 yr old dunbier trailer. They've always just fitted and worked. I was guessing as I know FA about trailers.

i found the plug (kids had been playing with it). It's a 7 pin. Thanks for the web site link - will be very handy - I'll fix later today. Have to do a wee bit of drilling - little phillips head screws on plug rusted in. new I should have bought a new one at b.i.a.s yesterday for $7...
