In the last week there has been 3 boat hulls with severe damage in my area,
Mine 6m hartley design - broken back
5.5m Cobra- broken back
5m pride - longitudal crack between strings about 5 foot long (this one only just got back)
Ok
We either drive our boats to hard (bare in mind when I did my I was only just on the plane) or we are having unseasonal rough weather. We normal fish 1m + and consisder that to be normal (we do get calmer days)
OR
is it that these boats are all reaching a certain age (the cobra is not that old)
All the work I had done on mine is still solid but foward of that is all busted (should have pulled out what appeared to be solid structure when I rebuilt, oh for hind sight)
So what am I on about
Just getting my morning dribble outa the way.

It's fair to say your consitions aren't eh same as those up here on the eastern seaboard. I think the boats down there would bet much more of a work out than those up here over a period of time. That would probably equate for it.

Didn't you also have a run of bad weather.

There's also the fact that a lot of Tasmanians are mad when it comes to boats and the water ;)
