Haines Signature 492 Review or Literature

Hi All

I am trying to track down any information that I can find on a Haines Signature 492 (either model is ok, I have the f).
If anyone knows where I can get a brochure from ?

The other thing I am interested in is if anyone knows where I can get any review information on this model ?

I have googled till my eyes hurt and cannot seem to find anything, I have also attempted to contact Haines and Modern Boating magazine to see if there was a review anywhere on this model with no luck.

Seeing as the boat is ten years old, I was guessing I might not have any luck but some of you may remember seeing a review somewhere or even have a copy of one. If I get the magazine and issue number then I can hunt down purchasing a back issue :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Let me have a look when I get home. I've got an old version of the Haines catalogue there that you're welcome to have. It might have the 493 as opposed to the 492 though...

Hi Skeet, not sure if this is much help- but from recollection I remember reading and article on 492/493 in used boating book. They gave them a good wrap- i think the author was Webster hmmmm ? Jeff- I have seen that book on the stand at some newsagents since- they seem to do a reprint of it- it is a compliation of pluses and minus of a certain hulls- Guide to Buying a Second Hand Boat - hmmmm or similar- sorry cant be of more help.

Just checked the catalogue I have, and it's a 493f not a 492. Sorry about that...

I have an old....ish Signature Brochere which has a 2 page spread of the 492F and a single page on the 492RF as well as a 1/3 page short review on the 492F/493F (probably the one Lew mentioned), would be happy to scan them and email them to you.

Just post or pm me your email address and the resolution you would liked them scanned at. (note: I will be without my scanner on the weekend.)
