I have been having trouble with blowing globes on my nav lights, seems to be when I am crossing bars and taking on a wave or 2 ::) I think they cop a hiding from the waves.

The festoon globes blow :'( and now the lenses have fallen to pieces ::)

Has anyone got a brand that they are impressed with. I may have to change brands to get some longevity.

Heath has suggested LED globes but I think I need to back it up with a decent light housing first

cheers

Hey Garry.

I've had Hella Marine nav lights fitted to the last 2 boats,
both have copped plenty of wave bashing collectively over
the last 12 years, never had to replace a globe, and the lens'
never faded.
Reckon they were worth the little bit extra I paid, not that they
were that exxy, about $35 pr.
