Hi, i am looking at buying one of these very seriously (Two are available) Does anyone have first hand experience of this hull ? If so please comment. I am quite happy with the layout as it will suit my family & fishing needs quite well given the budget I have available. What i would like to know is your thoughts on its performance as a hull. Is it a slightly smaller hull to the 565/580 SL ? Planked keel ? all comments good or bad appreciated. One is 1985 with original 140 johnson (VRO still fitted) engine has checked out OK. Is this engine rated at the prop ? The other is 1989 with 150 yamaha 76 hrs and very clean but over 60% more (at $24k around $9,000 more than the '85 model) It does have a tandem instead of single axle trailer and a better interior but that only gets blood and scales on right ? The 89 seems to me to be over priced as I could have had a 2000 model Haines 530 classic as new for $24,500. Thanks Steve
