I was out near bay rock (townsville) yesterday when i noticed that for some reason the knot that holds my pull cord in place had come undone and the whole thing was now laying on the floor at the back of my boat. i came home and pulled the pull start unit off the top of my out board and hooked it all up again and then refitted it but now it wont engage. by that i mean, you pull it and it doesn`t turn over the motor. i`ve put it all back together just like it came off (plus rope reattached). Does anyone have anyidea what i may have missed?
thanks for any advice!
nathan

on the johno that i have you have to turn the little switch on side of elec fuel pump to "b" position before rip starting. #Apparrently if you don't it can damage something - ? battery (haven't required reading that part of repair/service manual yet) Is there something similar on the yam?

Where's the Cairns report?
