do I need a short or long shaft?

Hi Guys

I need some expertise here.

I am looking at a cheap Hull - a Leisure craft about 12 ft

The height of the transom is 390mm

I have a Short shaft motor - and it seems to be about 400mm from the cavitation plate to the mounting bracket.


Do I have a match here ? or am I missing something in my ignorance?

Yeah Gary,

Mantaray's right. It's easier for old imperials like myself to measure transoms in inches:

15" - SS
20" - LS
25" - XLS

390 mm = 15.354330709 inches.
