Team,
I want to buy a 4.2 - 4.5M tinny, and am having a look at a 2000 model Quinny 420 Wide Body Dory in a couple of days.

Is there anything specific to this type of hull that I should be looking for apart from the usual stresses / cracking welds, pinholes, corrosion, etc?

It is a 2000 mod, with a 2000 mod 30hp Merc, bimini, etc.

Has anyone had any issues or heard of any problems with these hulls or these age Mercs?

Cheers.

Team,
ended up going with the 4.2 Dory. After looking at it last Friday I couldn't go past it for versatility and fit for my needs.

I will post a few pics of the rig. Took my wife on the maiden voyage yesterday, and we are very happy with it. She is a bit happier going out in thie one, because the crocs have less chance of getting to her than in the old 10ft :)

Now I am looking forward to many years boating in this tinny, the sides are deep enough that our kids will be able to come along too without any worry (when we have them, anyway).

Cheers.
