Is it possible to convert a Suzuki 50 Four from Tiller with Power Trim and Tilt to Remote Controls?

What is remote control Dicko?? I have only seen them in toy shops! I take it you mean forward controls?? If so, yes it can be converted, quite easily, and then you can remove the tiller arm if you wish.

Yeah mate I mean foward controls, been talking to to many dealers that keep refering it to remote steer/controls ect. So the swap is straight foward with the standard Suzuki Rigging Kit or do I also need others parts such as brackets ect ?

I'm not exactly sure on that one. Your throttle/gear shift cables etc will link up easily but you made need your dealer to assist with the steering, depending on what type you opt for. Trim/tilt is only a switch anyway and will probably be a part of your throttle/gear shift assembly.
Good luck and cheers

Dicko, according to http://www.hainessuzukimarine.com.au/home/motor_details.asp?id=35 it can run as either remote or tiller. The control and gauge kit details are available at http://www.hainessuzukimarine.com.au/home/accessories.asp.
That site also has the contact details for Haines Suzuki. I'd ring them, tell them what you want to do, see if it's ok, and ask them which dealer you should go to to get it done.
Cheers,
Ponies.

Already shot off an email just waiting for a reply, just thought I'd put a post up whilst I waited.
They should look after you mate. They take a bit of pride in what they do and Suzi's are a great motor..
The "remote" term is one of semantics. It's referred to as such as the motor can be controlled "remotely", ie not by a tiller at the back of the boat, but rather with the controls at the helm. It's in much ore common usage now than it used to be.
Good luck,
Mike
