Team,
I am looking to lift my Dunbier trailer a bit by changing the axle to under the springs and fitting the standard Triton 4x4 rims that are sitting in the shed.

Has anyone done this? Are there any safety or legal issues to deal with?

Cheers.

Ed.

I know its illegal to do it on 4WDrives so I wouldnt be suprised if it was the same on trailers. I would recomend either going to a trailer place and see what they do to there 4WD trailers or give one a call.

G'day Ed.

No problems with that mod..

Only recomended with slipper type springs, tho,
not shackle type.

Can I ask ; the reason you're considering this?

; the rig you've got?

Ed, do that with all our trailers when we travel off road for the extra clearance. Don't know about the legality of it though.

G'day
I have converted my 12' boat trailer to oversprung.... they are the slipper type. I've done this for offroad clearance and if my hilux has come standard from toyota oversprung then.. it can't all be bad.
