Hi Gary
normally between 100 an 200 hrs per year in my case about 60hrs per year and wqhen buying a boat with second hand motor make sure that the services of every 100hrs has been maintained and make sure you take a mechanic along to check the compression on the motor and take it for a run so you know the gear box is fine hope this helps

Cheers ;D ;D

Gary, a pro fisherman, would do more than 600 hours one year, but that would be a motor I would buy, instead of one that had only done 400 hours in say 11 years.

Regular usage is better, along with regular service work. Take a look at Taxi cabs, long usage, 750000 km , not un common.
What do you have in mind?
