I am looking to buy a family boat, for days out, skiing and some basic fishing. I would want to stay in the dams and rivers....

Anyine know of a good site or have advice of where the best lakes/dams are in and around Brissie for family boating? I have heard that some dams only allow electric motors vs fuel driven motors etc....... and also which dams are safe for skiing ?

Any advice welcomed

thanks :-/

Dams like Somerset are the go for skiing and fishing, not a lot of water at the moment though. Wivenhoe is electric only so thats no go for skiing, you can ski in the Logan/Brisbane rivers (as long as you dont mind sharing with sharks) :o :o
Further afield you could look at Boondooma or Borumba dams, problem is most close ones like Moogerah and Somerset dont have a great deal of water at the moment. :'(
Ill be interested to hear any other opinions on this question because Im a "social" skier as well. 8-) 8-)
