Here people are obtaining their fishing permits for season 2006. Operation is run by the biggest trolling club of Finland "Suomenlahden Uistelijat Ry". They can sell permits all over the country. Ofcourse they get a reasonable profit for their efforts. Everything takes place over the net. Fishermen can purchase their permits anywhere provided there is a connection to the net. No more forgotten permits!

One close up picture of EV Trutta. This lure is trimmed to descend horisontally and is very effective to attract seatrouts attention. Very often you just stop retrieving suddenly and the trout attacs the very moment.

One of the most famous finnish aluminum boat makers is Silver Boats. Here some of their boats. In general none of the finnish manufacturers really make a boat solely for fishing. These boats must be customised for fishing use. Silver boats are very well done and are as smooth as moonohulls can be in rough conditions.

Silvers new 540 Dorado with futuristic looks. Front plexi door and rear roof extension both will slide over mid roof. So you have very good walk thorugh solution.

Jukka,
Great pics mate. Much appreciated, its always good to see whats going on around the world.

It must be hard to fish when you're wearing one of those hats though....in the third picture with all the lures hanging off it...:)

Cheers,
Jake

Hi Jukka,

Thanks for the photos, good to see what they are doing in Finland. I have asked my brother-in law to quote me on some Lures and have forwarded him your article.

Take Care

Joe

Gday Jukka
Thanks for the tour!! :) Some nice vessels there, and some of the lures are quite different to ours also.

Can you tell us some of the prices on the boats you showed us , Im sure a lot of the locals will be interested in how they compare to our local product.

The australian dollar buys about 74cents US these days( that might help you calculate)
Have you had any fishing lately??
