Hi everyone.here's a few pics of some new boats.
The first one is a 620 Maxi Series powered with a 175 Suzi.
It has the workstation /console setup.
Sunburst orange paint. It's basically the same setup as my old boat Jay Jar Moo.
Hope you enjoy the pics.

Cheers Col

nice boats col
just a dumb question
with the fuel up front 250l = 250kg + weight of tank seems a lot of weight to have right up foward (must work well or you wouldnt do it), I would just be concerned about the boat having a tendedies to drop its nose in some bad seas. It must be counter balanced by helm postion?
cheers

Hi Blaze,
There is a fair bit of weight aft to balance it. With the tank under the raised deck it lets us keep the whole main deck sealed and you can hose the capsule out quite easily if you wish. There is a bung on each aft corner of the raised deck and a full hatch over the tank so it's easy to get to it.
The boats aren't that weight sensitive.
The inbuilt chines and planing strakes give the bow a lot of lift as well.

Hi Col,
Mabel Grace looks a great unit.
Just thinking that those Aluminiun backrests in the corner seats would be a bit hard if used travelling
Bit of padding would go well.

Congratulations on 3 more beaut boats.

Hi Col,

Nice work - love your innovations Col...I notice in the transom of Mabel Grace a couple of things that look like Torpedo Tubes. Is that a water ballast system? Love the work station and console layout...very practicle.

I saw one of your rigs on Brisbane River down by Southbank Saturday arv...looked like a 5mt centre Console...looked mighty fine on the plane

Plateys 4eva!!!!

cheers

Col,
Nice lookin rigs.
I take it the ballast sytem works by flooding a cavity under the foor when at rest. (correct me if i'm wrong)
What sort of volumes are we talking for the cavity?

Hi Col...having the 50 hr service tomorrow morning...

yeah getting amongst it when the weather allows...heading out for our first overnighter Friday night...very happy with the rig...

but need a 4 stroker for fuel economy I think...a bit disappointed there...probably around 45lt/hr out of a 150efi Merc...had hoped to be around mid low30's somewhere...

Going to lift the motor one hole in the morning and have the prop drilled and cupped to bring it back to around 16.5 and get the extra fuel economy I hope

Cheers

Hi

What size / make tackle boxes have you got in the consol. I've been wanting to do that for some time now to my boat, and I really like the look of what you've done

Cooky.........PM me your postal adddress and I'll send you a CD.

Catchy Fishy.....Those ones are 432 x 400 out side and about 260 deep. They are BLA products and they have quite a few different versions. If you go to one of the chandlery shops I'm sure they will have a catalogue for you to look at or maybe try their website.

Mark........We are heading offshore in that boat tommorrow so I'll have some figures soon.

Col,

3 more of the best there mate ;).

Would happilly take anyone of them to park in my front yard 8-)

I too would be keen to hear some fuel figures for the 150 & 175 Suzzies.
I found some figures on the net (from a yankie) site, just like to compare them with yours.

Hmmm, still very smitten with the Hardtop centre console :-*

Cheers
Craigie.
