unrestricting Yamaha CV40

Hey Guys,
I Have a Yamaha CV40 on my 4.2 Runabout.
I do heaps of skiing and was woundering if I can get more power out of this motor?

i`ve got the same motor on my tinny and heard somewhere that the 40hp and the 50hp are the same motor just packaged differently and the 40hp has a restrictor plate on its mufflers?
so it should be as simple as just removing the plate?
i`ve had a look on the net for info on it but couldn`t find any so let me know if you find out anything :)
how`s your boat go pulling a skier out of the water?

i heard the same thing.
It pulls wakeboard up no worries but stuggles with skiers. Especially if i only use 1 ski.
