Hello Everybody,
My navagation lights aren't working. #Everything seems to be connected up fine and they were working well recently. #I was told that it might be that a bulb needs replacing. #
What type of trouble shoooting do you do when the navagation lights on your boat no longer work? #How do you problem solve in this situation?

gidday Saphire,
Do you have a multi-meter or 12v. test lamp??
If so take the bulb out and put the multi-meter onto the 12v scale and place on the terminals where the bulb sat or place the tip of the test lamp on one terminal end the wire on the other terminal.
If the nav. lights are getting power then 12-14 volts should show on the multi-meter or the test lamp will light up.
Alternatively just check the bulbs with a multi-meter set on ohms or resistance scale. It should read close to zero.
If not we'll try something else.
That will do for starters :)

Hi Saphire

If you have a panel fuse or an inline fuse you could check to make sure it is not blown.

Cheers
