Can you dig out the driveway and into the garage. Mate had a similar problem and got a bobcat in and cut down a metre and poured new concrete. It looks quite good but it depends on your current garage set up.

Pete i am 6ft and full of it the mates are the same. ;D
Iwould need to drop it by 60 centimeters.
Do you thing it would make much difference to the appearence and #could the shortening be done without much trouble.

Ps my last boat had a normal canopy and fitted easily even though it was a smaller boat 5.3 mts

In all honesty Troy, I think if you cut the rocket launcher down, you will wreck both the look and the practicality of your boat.

You would be crouching down to get under the canopy whilst fishing / driving.
Not good.

It might be a pain in the ar$e, but I really think that folding the rocket launcher down is the best option.

The fold down rocket launcher was designed to overcome your exact problem.
There are hundreds of people who do this every time they take their boat out.

If you were to proceed with the "cut down" - the answer is yes, it can be done... but set aside the best part of $1000 to do it.

I #have a 625 cruise craft outsider and it has a targa with rocket launches.
The problem i am having is i have to drop the targa everytime i put the boat in the garage.
The overall heigth is 3.25 meters on the trailer.
Should i get it shortened and if so what would be an acceptable height
Also would it affect the appearance.
You cannot get tradesmen here to lift the roof and also i am not sure if this could be done.
All advise would be appreciated.

How much does it need to be shortened by to fit in garage?

I think you would want a minimum of 6' clearance from the floor height to the underside of the canopy.

How tall are you? And the people that regularly fish with you?

Sportfish the only problem with that idea would be that it would exposed the house stumps as the carport is built onto the house and also i have one in front of that and it is not high enought either.
