Methinks you should do some homework 1st and give the thread a shortlist. Your question is like "I'm going to Europe for the 1st time - what should I see?". You will get 2,000 opinions or totally ignored by serious boaties.

i thought a 4.8met runabout with a 75hp was fairly explanatory. surely cant be to many options. dont intend going to europe just fish the bay.

I have a 4.1m Allycraft, and my brother has a 4.3m Webster twin hull aluminium single motor, #not much diff in length but a hell of a lot better in capabilities. Check the Websters out, good affordable option. 4.3 all up, I think he paid bout 22k, total inc motor, trailer, boat and options. Hes had no probs with it. ;)

Hey Greg.
Is part of that 28 grand you got for a boat my promised refund for incorrectly invoiced paint you supplied last year, remember you were going to look into it before christmas.

G'day Seahorse,

28K could get you into a lot bigger boat than 4.8 metre if needed.

... like my 6m Yalta ;)

Going from 4.2m to 4.8m is a step up, but is it big enough? especially when you can have many more options?

Do you want to buy brand new?

Cheers

Pete
