To all the Glass boat owners out there, I am after a little advice.

I am after a product to restore / protect the rubber strip that joins the two sections together. The rubber is a little dry in places and has polish in bedded on others where the cloth slipped.

So what is best to use? I have heard not to use armour oil or the likes.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Harry

Not a bad idea to clean the rubber with some petrol first as the Acetone dries so fast you can get a lot of the rubber stain on the fibreglass in the cleaning process and then give yourself another cleanup chore.
Mix up some Acetone and Gumption paste and apply with one of those scratch proof scourer pads.
And the Lanox is great advice also.

Why the lanox for Rubber? Are we talking the gunnel rubber here?

Gumption paste

Can you please explain :-/

I was just about to ask the same question. I bought a new cover which seems to have left a pinkish stain. Not sure why its pink as the cover is grey and blue
