Fitted a new Delphi fuel filter to my boat a couple of weeks ago and now it takes until my arm cramps up to prime the carbs .This has only occured since I installed the filter. There are no leaks that I can see or feel. When I pump the bulb the bulb stays soft but the motor still starts ok after about 1 min of pumping the bulb. :-?
I was wondering if anyone else has found this with Cav/delphi filters?
Oh and by the way I dont want to rehash the old filter debate ;D
cheers jon

John,

You will find it easier to pump the bulb into the filter and not suck through it 8-)

hi jon
i have my fuel filter, fuel flow meter and then the primer bulb. The fuel tank is under the deck and the only time I had any problems is when I first filled the fuel tank, new filter and dry lines. Pumps up with half dozen pumps.
hope thinks work out for you, try a new bulb
cheers
