Can anyone suggest if this is a good engine to use with a car topper?

The issue being storing the motor flat in a transport case in a trailer.
Will there be oil issues etc., or are they designed to do this?

Also anyone heard of any inherant issues with these? A mate is looking at buying one on the weekend (the older square cowl style) for the above purpose.
Thanks in advance,

C.J.

Apparently there is no worries about laying down. As long as it's the correct side.
I have a 2000 model and it's the bees knees :)
I love that magic black button that pulls the starter for you :)
It's on a 3.7 edgetracker and it's a fraction under powered compared to what I was used to, but that was a 25hp Tohy and I like speed a little tooooo much :D.

GBC,

these are a good engine but, they are heavy. Make sure he is happy withn the weight.

If you have good fuel filtration it will serve him well. A good fuel filter is worth itys weight in gold.

Tks fellas,

We'll be taking it for a test run tomorrow in the gale :-/
My mate is now talking about upright storage on the trailer which would probably be a better option. We'll be fishing out of this rig up the cape in winter so I have a vested interest in seeing that he gets it right ;)
