I am currently getting a stinger rampage longboat built but am wondering which motor to put on - 70 Suzuki or 90 etec (no xl 75 etec)
Any thoughts?

I'm a bit of an E-TEC fan so I'd say 90 E-TEC but I'm sure others will disagree

Hi Mate,
There's a member called bushbeachboy who is running the Suzi 70 on a 5.95mtr Goodwin longboat. If your boat's a similar size, I'd suggest giving him a yell.
I've got one on a Signature 460DF Cuddy. I couldn't be happier after adjusting the motor height.
Good luck,
Mike

This will be useful, it compares the exact engines you are looking at getting. http://boatpoint.ninemsn.com.au/portal/alias__boatpointau/tabID__200859/ArticleID__119526/DesktopDefault.aspx

Thanks Joey 1987, I've read that article before and it seems to be the only one that gives some sort of a direct comparison. I think I'll go with the 70 Suzy (plus it's what most other people have been putting on the same hull).
Just can't wait to get the boat and do some coastal cruising into Shoalwater Bay up from Yeppoon.!!!!!
