Hi guys,
Another newy to all this boating talk, but loving it.
I've just bought myself a 2001 Trailcraft Coastal 4.7m and I'm trying to fix the electrics on it. When I'm soldering, no luck, cause it just doesn't want to stick. I've worked with wiring a bit and this would have to be one of the first times this happened to me, and it's baffling me.
Are the electics (wiring/connectors) made from different material, are you meant to use special solduring equipment?
And, while I'm here, when cutting and drilling holes, is it best to primer/paint and silicone the area to stop paint from lifting, or is siliconing alone ok?
I must say, this forum is great. I'm learning heaps from all of ya's.
thankyou guy's
