I have been looking at using a salt remover on the alloy boat and O/B and was wondering if anyone has used "salt away".

If you go by what they claim on the web site it is the best thing since sliced bread. :o

Has anyone used it to flush out their outboard motor and clean their gear?

cheers

Yep, great product - if you can afford it!
They also make SALT-X that is for washing the boat.
Just hope you win Lotto first!

A less expensive product but equally brilliant is MACS
Sold at most decent outlets and doubled the life of my inboards manifolds and exhaust risers.

Just wondering whether these products are denifical to motors with a few hours on them all ready... I recently bought a boat package with 70hrs (apparently flushed after each use from new) on it. Would it be an advantage to start using MACS at this point?? Thanks Guys
