Hi I am looking at buying my first boat should i get a tonneau cover?
how do they last?
I have seen a second hand boat with the press studs corroded is this a common problem?
You can understand i want my new boat to look good.
any thoughts or ideas would be a great help

Yeah but dont get the studs, just make the sides go all over the gunnels like mine, draw string sewn in to pull tight perfecttttttt!

should work on any boat, need elastic inside the tonneau, and clips to fasten to. As long as the dimensions are right you're home dry.
Cut up a few garbage bags and tape together first to get the correct dimensions if you'rte gonna make your own. I bought a standard canvas sheet and it was just too small - now I'm stu##ed, gotta go bigger or my engines get wet. (or my bow)
