I HAVE A X107CDF Lowrance and it will not turn off.
We went out today and my lad was using it and i was not taking any notice.
Then he said he could not turn it off.
Tried holding power button in for 3 seconds as per manual and still no success.
Could he had changed something by mistake or is it the sounder.

the contacts behind the button sometimes dont make contact... my x70a did the same.

I just cut an on/off switch into the wiring ... an easy way out of getting it serviced ... especially seeing as it was out of warranty.

Probably the cruisecraft has shaken it to pieces .... if only you had a cat the sounder would be fine ... and you could stick your tinny trailer in the corner out of the way... then drop it off on your way home from fishin ;D ;D

Cheers

LMAO Good one Marlin

Did you pull the fuse out to turn it off?

Have you put the fuse back in and tried to turn it on or off since then?

Blase i contacted the dealer today and apparently there is a fault with Eagle and Lowrance sounders.
Some turn off when you are using them and others you cannot turn off.
Must be true as they are replacing mine with a new one .
Which is good as you find service like this hard to get these days.

I have the same problem with my Lowrance X135 but it is intermittent and the dealer told me not to bring it in until it has a continuous fault; Big help, hey.
I bet it gets a continuous fault about 10 minuets after the warranty runs out.
