Need some clarifacation please. I have just got a new boat and have a question about the choke. Its a 30hp light weight Mercury key start. In the manual it says to pull choke knob out on the motor but there is alo a choke when you push the key in . Do i needto do both or just one ore the other??
Confused?

That would be my opinion.
The key pushing is only activating the same choke contro rod as the manual one one the motor. I would think that the manual one is there so when you are required to pull start your motor that you have the ability to control the choke if needed
cheers
